I can't add Players I obtained to my Lineup.

Players you obtain are developed through "Training." Once Training is complete, the Player is registered as a trained player who can be added to Lineups for "Missions" and other content.

Also, since a trained player is registered each time Training is completed, even the same Player will have different abilities and Skills depending on how the Training went.
